An Understated Dominance Chapter 1098 by Marina Vittori

“Dustin!” Sheila panicked when she saw Dustin leave, so she chased after him.

“Dustin, I’m sorry. I didn’t know Mr. Saunders would be here, too. “This is all my fault. Please don’t be angry,” Sheila said remorsefully.

“I’m not angry, Sheila. As a doctor, I hope that your dad can receive good treatment. But nobody trusts me.” Dustin shook his head.

He had warned them multiple times, but his warnings had been ignored. It wouldn’t be appropriate for him to force himself on them further.

“Dustin, I trust you. But…” Sheila stopped herself. Her parents were the ones who made the decisions in the family. As their daughter, she did not have much say.

“It’s alright, Sheila, go back in. I’ll go out for a cup of coffee.

“If anything happens, give me a call right away.” Dustin smiled as he patted her on the shoulder. “Alright then.” Sheila nodded and headed back into the ward.

But not before turning around several times to check on Dustin. She truly felt sorry for making him come over for nothing.

“Sheila, why do you bother yourself with that idiot? If he wants to leave, then so be it. What’s so great about him?

“He’s just an insurance agent. Does he deserve your attention?” Vivian started insulting Dustin the moment Sheila entered. “That’s right! With Mr. Saunders here, why would you need a nobody like him?

“Evan shot a disdainful glance at the door.

“Mr. Saunders, there won’t be anyone bothering you anymore. Please get started with the treatment as soon as possible,” Lily urged.

“Sure. Seeing as to how sincere all of you are, I’ll help you out just this once.’ Rudolph nodded before opening the cap to the black medicine bottle again. Then, he emptied its contents into Caden’s mouth.

Then, he took several silver needles from his medical case and inserted them into Caden’s pressure points. More than ten needles later, he finally stopped.

“Acupuncture also helps to clear blocked circulatory pathways and regulate blood flow. When paired with the precious Golden Elixir, I’m sure the patient will be able to regain consciousness!” Rudolph declared confidently.

“That’d be great!” Lily anxiously stared at Caden, who still lay unconscious on the bed. The Golden Elixir quickly worked its wonders. Caden’s pale face gradually regained color, and his weak breathing strengthened.

All the readings on the monitor slowly went back to normal. Within minutes, Caden’s heart rate, blood pressure, pulse rate, body temperature, and all the other parameters returned to normal. He hadn’t woken up but was no longer in danger.

“It worked, it worked! His vital signs have returned to normal! His condition is stable now!”

“As expected of Mr. Saunders! Just a few needles and some medicine are all it takes for him to save a patient who was so close to death! How amazing!”

“He’s a miracle doctor! A miracle doctor who works wonders!” Seeing how Caden seemed glowing with health and vitality, everyone got excited and admired Rudolph.

So many doctors were at a loss for how to treat Caden. But once Rudolph came, he had pulled Caden back from the brink of death so quickly! His medical skills were godly!

“Aunt Lily, Sheila, I wasn’t wrong, was I? With Mr. Saunders here, Uncle Caden will surely be fine,” Jayden said with a smile.

“Mr. Saunders is truly amazing. Our family is forever thankful for you!” Lily was delighted with the outcome.

Caden had been lying on the bed like a dead man just a while ago. His body had been cold, and his breathing was so weak it frightened her. But now, he was glowing with life. It was as though he had been given a new life.

“Having me treat him is the best choice you’ve made. Had I not saved him, he would not live to see the next sunrise.” Rudolph lifted his chin proudly.

“Of course, you’re right. Nobody can compare with your excellent skills, Mr. Saunders,” Jayden flattered.

“Compared to Mr. Saunders, all these doctors from Dragonmarsh are considered trash. You are on an entirely different level. There’s nothing comparable to your skills!” Vivian sighed.

“Oh well, in terms of talented people, Kimboku crushes Dragonmarsh. But the worst thing is that these Dragonmarshian doctors are incapable and like to pretend that they’re all that.

“They refuse to admit that they aren’t as capable as others. They deserve to be looked down upon!” Evan spat.

Summary An Understated Dominance by Marina Vittori

Dahlia Nicholson and Dustin Rhys had been married for three years. After Dahlia’s meteoric rise to success, she abandons the useless dead weight that’s Dustin, proposing divorce. Unbeknownst to her, everything she had ever achieved was only because of him.

Chapter 1 “Dustin, here is the divorce agreement prepared by Ms. Nicholson. All you need to do is sign them.” In the president’s office of the Quine Group, the secretary, Lyra Blaine, placed a piece of A4 paper on the table. A man sat opposite her, dressed in plain clothing. “Divorce? What do you mean?” Dustin Rhys was taken aback. “Do you not understand what I’m saying? Your marriage with Ms. Nicholson is over. You’re not even on the same level anymore. Your existence is nothing but a smear on the president’s reputation!” Lyra pulled no punches as she spoke. “A smear on her reputation?” Dustin frowned. “Is that how she thinks of me?” Back when they first got married, the Nicholson family was in ruinous debt. He was the one who helped them when they were at their lowest point. Now that they were rich, Dahlia Nicholson was ready to just kick him out. “Something like that.” Lyra jerked her chin toward the magazine on the table. A photo of a beautiful woman was printed on the front page. “Look at the headline on this magazine, Dustin. Ms. Nicholson’s net worth has hit one billion in the course of just three years, a feat no short of a miracle. She’s now the most desired woman in Swinton! With all this, she’s destined for greatness. But you, you’re just a regular joe. You don’t deserve her at all. I hope that you’ll see some sense and do the right thing.” When Dustin remained silent, Lyra frowned. “I know you’re not happy with this, but this is reality,” she continued. “You might have helped Ms. Nicholson when she was in trouble, but she has repaid you for everything you’ve done for her over the last three years. In fact, you’re the one who owes her now!” “Is our marriage just a business deal to her, then?” Dustin took a deep breath to suppress the emotions within. “If she wants to divorce me, let her speak to me herself.” “Ms. Nicholson is very busy. She doesn’t need to trouble herself with such trifling matters.” “Trifling matters?” Dustin was stunned. Then he laughed bitterly. “Is that so? Is divorce a trifling matter to her? She can’t even find the time to speak to me. Truly, she’s that unattainable now!” “Dustin, don’t delay this any longer.” Lyra pushed the divorce agreement toward him again. “Just sign here and you’ll get a car and a house as compensation. On top of that, you’ll also get eight million dollars. This is more than what you’ll be able to earn in your lifetime!” “Eight million dollars is a lot, but…I don’t need it. I will sign the divorce papers if she comes personally. Otherwise, I won’t sign anything,” Duston said coldly. “Don’t go too far, Dustin!” Lyra slammed her hand on the table. “Don’t say I didn’t warn you. With all her power and resources, Ms. Nicholson can divorce you easily. It’s only because she appreciates her past relationship with you that she’s allowing you to keep your dignity intact. Don’t provoke her!” “My dignity?” Dustin was a little amused by that. She didn’t even want to speak to him directly to divorce him. What kind of dignity was that? Moreover, if she really did appreciate their relationship, then why was she threatening him now?
