An Understated Dominance Chapter 1096 by Marina Vittori

“Y-you’re spewing nonsense!” After being exposed, Rudolph tried to act calm and composed. But he could not hide the panic in his eyes.

Though he hated to admit it, the Golden Elixir was cheap stuff that cost no more than several hundred. Of course, he could have easily sold it for several thousands with his reputation and medical skills.

“Nonsense? Well, why don’t we check out the components of the elixir then?” Dustin pressed. “If I’m not mistaken, there’s also some form of stimulant added to the Golden Elixir. While there may be immediate life-saving effects, it would still deplete the patient’s life.

“What you’re doing is the same as killing the patient! You heartless bastard!”

“Rubbish! I’m a miracle doctor from Kimboku! Someone like you should be looking up to me! How dare you accuse me?

“You better apologize to me right this instant!” Rudolph fumed. “Apologize? Do you deserve an apology from me?” Dustin scoffed.

“You’re not going to apologize, are you? Fine! I won’t carry on with the treatment then.

“You guys can find a solution yourself! “Rudolph was livid. He picked up his medical supplies and got ready to leave.

“Mr. Saunders!” Jayden immediately stopped him from leaving. He smiled apologetically. “Please don’t be angry. This bastard is just a madman who doesn’t know anything!

“Don’t take things to heart. The patient’s life is at stake.”

“Yes, Mr. Saunders! This is a matter of life and death! You’re the only one who can treat him now!” Everyone tried to coax him into staying and treating Caden.

“Dustin! You better shut up! If you continue talking nonsense, I’ll throw you out immediately!” Jayden turned around to yell at him.

“Who gave you the right to speak rudely to Mr. Saunders? You should admit your mistake and apologize to him at once!” Vivian shouted.

“That’s right! Apologize at once!” Evan echoed. Everyone’s gaze on Dustin was malicious and filled with displeasure. He had questioned and slandered Rudolph the second he entered the ward. He even sent Rudolph away!

What a bastard!

“I’m just stating facts. Why should I apologize?” Dustin asked impassively. “Doctors like you, who would do anything for money, will never be able to cure patients. Let him leave if he so wishes. I’ll treat Mr. Murray personally.

“You? Who the hell are you? How dare you compare yourself to Mr. Saunders?  Jayden looked displeased.

“Hmph! Doctors in Dragonmarsh are trash! All they’re good for is treating the regular flu or fever.

“But only a miracle doctor from Kimboku, like Mr. Saunders, can help when any complications arise!” Vivian huffed in disdain.

“Everyone knows that the medical skills that Kimboku has is way more advanced than what we have here in Dragonmarsh. We’re on totally different levels!

“Your limited medical skills are incomparable to Mr. Saunders’!” Evan belittled. “Have you been living under a rock that you don’t know how things are?”

Dustin looked around him as he scoffed. “In case you don’t know, Kimboku’s medical technology and skills originated from Dragonmarsh. “We were the ones who taught them all they know, and they’ve only barely scraped the surface of what we know!

“If we’re talking about medical talents, ten of Kimboku’s best doctors can’t compare to a single medical genius we have here in Dragonmarsh!

“It’s one thing to be narrow-minded and admire foreign things excessively, but please do not insult the doctors of Dragonmarsh because of your ignorance!”

All the Dragonmarshian doctors in the ward were happy hearing what Dustin said. They wanted to applaud after his little speech.

They were dissatisfied with being called trash straight to the face. Dustin had restored their honor with his speech.

“So what if their medical skills originated from Dragonmarsh? They’ve surpassed us now! And they’ve also successfully promoted the advancement of their medical expertise to the world!

“There is no mistake in saying that we are lacking compared to them! Is it so difficult for you to admit that other countries are better than ours?” Vivian lifted her chin defiantly.

“Exactly! There are talented people from Kimboku all over the world! But are there any well-known Dragonmarshians on an international scale?” Evan challenged.

From their point of view, Dustin was just there to pick a fight with them. He couldn’t treat Caden, so he was there to belittle anyone who could. He was just a petty bastard!

“You narrow-minded people.” Dustin shook his head.

“You guys should see the world and see how great Dragonmarsh is. Don’t be stuck in your tiny worldview and spread your beliefs on how other countries are better than ours. Stand up for your own country!”

Vivian and the rest of them were upset at Dustin’s words.

Summary An Understated Dominance by Marina Vittori

Dahlia Nicholson and Dustin Rhys had been married for three years. After Dahlia’s meteoric rise to success, she abandons the useless dead weight that’s Dustin, proposing divorce. Unbeknownst to her, everything she had ever achieved was only because of him.

Chapter 1 “Dustin, here is the divorce agreement prepared by Ms. Nicholson. All you need to do is sign them.” In the president’s office of the Quine Group, the secretary, Lyra Blaine, placed a piece of A4 paper on the table. A man sat opposite her, dressed in plain clothing. “Divorce? What do you mean?” Dustin Rhys was taken aback. “Do you not understand what I’m saying? Your marriage with Ms. Nicholson is over. You’re not even on the same level anymore. Your existence is nothing but a smear on the president’s reputation!” Lyra pulled no punches as she spoke. “A smear on her reputation?” Dustin frowned. “Is that how she thinks of me?” Back when they first got married, the Nicholson family was in ruinous debt. He was the one who helped them when they were at their lowest point. Now that they were rich, Dahlia Nicholson was ready to just kick him out. “Something like that.” Lyra jerked her chin toward the magazine on the table. A photo of a beautiful woman was printed on the front page. “Look at the headline on this magazine, Dustin. Ms. Nicholson’s net worth has hit one billion in the course of just three years, a feat no short of a miracle. She’s now the most desired woman in Swinton! With all this, she’s destined for greatness. But you, you’re just a regular joe. You don’t deserve her at all. I hope that you’ll see some sense and do the right thing.” When Dustin remained silent, Lyra frowned. “I know you’re not happy with this, but this is reality,” she continued. “You might have helped Ms. Nicholson when she was in trouble, but she has repaid you for everything you’ve done for her over the last three years. In fact, you’re the one who owes her now!” “Is our marriage just a business deal to her, then?” Dustin took a deep breath to suppress the emotions within. “If she wants to divorce me, let her speak to me herself.” “Ms. Nicholson is very busy. She doesn’t need to trouble herself with such trifling matters.” “Trifling matters?” Dustin was stunned. Then he laughed bitterly. “Is that so? Is divorce a trifling matter to her? She can’t even find the time to speak to me. Truly, she’s that unattainable now!” “Dustin, don’t delay this any longer.” Lyra pushed the divorce agreement toward him again. “Just sign here and you’ll get a car and a house as compensation. On top of that, you’ll also get eight million dollars. This is more than what you’ll be able to earn in your lifetime!” “Eight million dollars is a lot, but…I don’t need it. I will sign the divorce papers if she comes personally. Otherwise, I won’t sign anything,” Duston said coldly. “Don’t go too far, Dustin!” Lyra slammed her hand on the table. “Don’t say I didn’t warn you. With all her power and resources, Ms. Nicholson can divorce you easily. It’s only because she appreciates her past relationship with you that she’s allowing you to keep your dignity intact. Don’t provoke her!” “My dignity?” Dustin was a little amused by that. She didn’t even want to speak to him directly to divorce him. What kind of dignity was that? Moreover, if she really did appreciate their relationship, then why was she threatening him now?
