All Her Secrets Chapter 64 by Chestnut

Chapter 64 The Expulsion

Rachael rushed to the hospital and was horrified to find Johnathan lying in bed, covered in bruises. His face appeared pale and lifeless, almost as if he were dead. It shook her to the core, causing her legs to weaken.

While she loved Liana dearly, Johnathan held a special place in her heart. After all, she gained a foothold in the Swanns only because she had given birth to a son.

Approaching him cautiously, Rachael felt her hands trembling, unsure of how to handle the situation. “Johnny, how did this happen to you?”

Johnathan held a grudge against his father for not standing up for him. However, Korbin had always been harsh to his kids, so he dared not speak up.

However, now that he had his mother as his staunch supporter, everything felt different.

Despite the pain, Johnathan summoned the strength to sit up and rushed toward Rachael.

The sudden movement caused him intense pain, tears streaming down his face, making his plea more convincing. “Mommy, you’re finally here! If you hadn’t come, that jinx would have killed me. She whipped me with a riding crop. The pain is unbearable, and it feels like I’m on the verge of death!”

Rachael’s hands trembled as she cupped Johnathan’s face, wiping away his tears.

“Don’t worry! I will seek revenge for you!”

Johnathan exposed the wounds on his back to Rachael.

The purplish wounds were a horrifying sight for Rachael.

Rachael had never laid a hand on her baby boy since his birth. She couldn’t believe that Catherine dared to treat her son like this. Was that jinx insane?

Rachael gritted her teeth and asked, “Where is Catherine?”

Filled with rage, Rachael stood up and glared at Korbin. “Are you just going to stand there and allow that jinx to harm our son?”

Korbin could understand Rachael’s anger, for he, too, was seething with fury. However, her public questioning of him only further infuriated him.

“Calm down!” he said.

“How can I stay calm when our baby boy has been beaten like this? Tell me, how can I stay calm?” she replied.

Rachael clenched her teeth, glaring resentfully at Korbin.

Korbin gave her a stern look and said, “Come with me.’

Rachael followed him out of the ward and into a nearby small meeting room.

When the door closed, Korbin forcefully slapped the stack of documents Catherine gave onto

Rachael’s face.

“Take a good look at these papers. Look at what your cousin has done. Not only has he been caught, but he has also implicated our baby boy. Tell me, what should I do?”

Rachael was stunned for a second by the bombardment. She was infuriated after reading the documents. She now realized that her relatives were more of a hindrance than a help.

However, Rachael had what it takes to be able to climb to her current position. She composed herself and looked at Korbin calmly.

“Let’s not discuss this now. We need to focus on how to deal with Catherine first. Haven’t you been too lenient with that jinx? She does as she pleases and even dares to harm Johnathan. Let me tell you, the next one lying in a bed might be me.”

Korbin stared at Rachael coldly, his eyes filled with mockery. “Are you serious? You’re so short. sighted! Do you think we should fear Catherine? She’s nothing more than a clown. The real concern lies with the people behind her. Leonel Bolton recently reestablished connections. with the old businessmen who were close to Vicente. Do you think that idiot Catherine can uncover any of that?”

Rachael understood that Korbin didn’t value her, despite the carefully cultivated image of an elegant wealthy woman she had maintained for years.

“So, Leonel is involved?” she inquired.

Korbin sneered, a sinister smile forming on his gloomy face. “Perhaps, but I’m still investigating. I have a feeling there’s another force at play. It won’t be easy to uncover the truth with Leonel’s limited power, let alone Catherine. Let her continue to be arrogant for a while longer. Once I expose the people behind her and eliminate them all, I’ll send her back to the countryside. That will be the end of it,” he replied.

“Remember, don’t go looking for trouble with her. Take care of our kids and ensure they don’t give her any warning,” Korbin warned Rachael firmly.

With that, Korbin opened the door and left the hospital.

If it weren’t for Johnathan’s injury, he wouldn’t have even bothered coming to the hospital.

Rachael watched him leave, her cold eyes narrowing as she emitted a sharp glare.

“Catherine, how dare you lay a hand on my baby boy? You’ve messed with the wrong person,

she muttered to herself.

Meanwhile, another challenge awaited Catherine.

The next day, as the first class bell rang, Catherine entered the classroom unhurriedly. As soon as she appeared, all eyes were on her.

Catherine walked towards her seat with a cold face, her gaze empty and unfocused, displaying a lazy and tired demeanor.

Upon her entrance, Bryan, who had worn a cold expression, immediately changed his attitude. A warm smile appeared on his face as if he had transformed into a different person. He stood up and pulled a chair out for Catherine as he said respectfully, “Boss, please.”

Catherine remained indifferent to Bryan’s flattery, her expression unchanged as he arranged her desk.

She sat down and leaned on the table.

Bryan carefully took his seat, ensuring not to make any noise.

He had promised himself that he would ensure Catherine could get a good sleep in school. Nothing would stop him from fulfilling that promise.

The first class should have been literature.

However, the literature teacher didn’t show up. The homeroom teacher did, accompanied by the imposing math teacher and the principal.

The students of Class 8 sensed that something serious was about to unfold, as the principal rarely made personal appearances.

The math teacher fixed her gaze on Catherine, who was still sleeping, a cold smile gracing her face. “Sir, look at this student. While the class is studying, she sleeps every day. How can a student like this achieve such results?”

The principal shifted his attention toward Catherine upon hearing the math teacher’s words.

He had already checked Catherine’s background and knew her academic performance couldn’t match her grades.

However, he didn’t expect Catherine to have such a troublesome character in addition to her poor academic performance. Keeping a student like her would undoubtedly bring trouble.

Yielding to the insistence of the two teachers, the principal decided to personally address the

situation caused by Catherine.

The homeroom teacher glanced at the principal and sought permission to speak.

The principal responded with a severe expression. “You are the homeroom teacher of Class 8, so I will let you deal with it. I will be here watching, though.”

The homeroom teacher nodded and stood on the stage, looking solemnly at the students of Class 8.

“Kids, a grave incident had occurred in our class. Although it hasn’t been determined yet, the situation is severe. If the facts are revealed, severe punishment will be imposed!”

The math teacher stepped forward, dissatisfied with the homeroom teacher’s statement.” Allow me to be more direct. Certain troublemakers have tarnished the excellent reputation of Class 8. Cheating and blatant disregard for class rules. We are going to expose this student publicly and expel her from the school!”

As soon as she finished speaking, the students of Class 8 instantly knew whom she was referring to.

The math teacher’s excited expression provided them with the answer.

Cautiously, they directed their gazes toward the sleeping figure, unsure of what would unfold next,

Chapter 249: Purpose Over Profit

Moana The months in between Michael going to prison and Daisy’s birth were a whirlwind of emotions and unexpected turns. After the incident with Michael, where he was sentenced to prison for his attempt on my life, my world took another astonishing twist. The news outlets revealed a shocking revelation: Moana, the seemingly ordinary girl who was raised in an orphanage, was, in fact, the legendary Golden Wolf. I never imagined my life could become so entangled in a web of fame and attention. Suddenly, everyone wanted a piece of me. All sorts of brands and non-governmental organizations bombarded me with invitations and tempting monetary offers. It was overwhelming, to say the least. My inbox was flooded with messages from high-profile companies and influential figures, all hoping to capitalize on my newfound fame. It felt like the world had changed overnight, and I struggled to comprehend the weight of it all. As the news continued to report on the outrageous offers I was receiving, doubt crept into the minds of many. People began questioning whether the Golden Wolf, the protector of nature and advocate for equality, would truly stay true to her purpose or succumb to the allure of money. These doubts lingered in my mind as well, threatening to pull me away from the path I had set for myself. In the midst of this chaos, I almost fell victim to a company that was particularly skilled in branding. They had a compelling narrative and seemed genuinely interested in making a positive impact on the world. At first, it was love at first sight. I was thrilled to have the chance to be involved with such a high profile company. However, as I delved deeper into their motives, it became evident that they were driven solely by profit. Their true intentions were masked by a cleverly crafted facade, and it took the guidance of my trusted companion, Edrick, to see through their deception. Edrick, ever the wise and discerning soul, helped me navigate through the sea of offers. Together, we carefully scrutinized each proposition, seeking the genuine ones from those that were merely seeking to exploit my fame. We rejected all those with insincere intentions, determined to stay true to our mission of making the world a more equitable place. It was a lot of work for a while, and a lot of late nights were spent sifting through mountains of proposal letters and applications. However, amidst all of the chaos, we discovered a small organization that aligned perfectly with our values. “Look,” I said late one night as Edrick and I sat up and worked through the sea of paperwork. It was just a couple of months before Daisy was set to be born, and my belly was practically bursting as I leaned forward to hand Edrick the piece of paper that caught my attention. “Look at this organization I just found.” Edrick furrowed his brow as he took the letter from me. “Humanity’s Reach Initiative,” he said under his breath. Edrick furrowed his brow as he took the letter from me. “Humanity’s Reach Initiative,” he said under his breath. “They’re not offering any money,” I said, feeling my chest swell a bit with excitement. “All they want is someone who is really dedicated to helping the world.” Edrick looked a little skeptical. “We can give them a call if you’d like,” he said, supportive as always. “We’ll call tomorrow.” Indeed, the next day we called Humanity’s Reach Initiative. Within a few weeks, I was signing my first contract. They may not have had the grandeur or financial prowess of the other offers, but their dedication and commitment to their cause shone through. Their passion for creating a better world was undeniable, and I knew deep in my heart that they were the right choice. Rather than merely accepting their invitation, Edrick went a step further. He decided to invest in this organization, recognizing the immense potential they held to effect real change. It was a gesture that truly touched my soul. Together, we wanted to nurture and uplift those who shared our vision, knowing that every small step towards progress mattered. When we made our decision, the runner of the organization expressed her immense gratitude. Her name was Jolene, and we had been working closely with her for a few months. Countless press conferences, public events, and charity galas later, Jolene wrote a heartfelt letter, publicly thanking both Edrick and me for believing in their cause: To Moana and Edrick Morgan: I hope this letter finds you both in the best of spirits, for it carries with it an abundance of gratitude and appreciation. It is with utmost sincerity and admiration that I reach out to express my heartfelt thanks for your unwavering support and belief in our organization, Humanity’s Reach Initiative. Words alone cannot capture the depth of gratitude that fills my heart as I reflect upon the momentous decision you both made. Your selection of our small organization, despite the limited financial resources we possess, has reaffirmed our unwavering dedication to creating a more equal and just world. It is through the genuine intentions and unwavering commitment of individuals like yourselves that our vision can come to fruition. Your rejection of the enticing monetary offers from other brands and NGOs speaks volumes about your character and the values you hold dear. In a world driven by profit and self-interest, you have remained steadfast in your pursuit of genuine change. The trust you have placed in us is both humbling and inspiring, and it fuels our resolve to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those who need it most. Edrick’s decision to invest in our organization goes beyond mere financial support. It represents a partnership built on shared values and a mutual understanding of the potential we possess to create lasting change. Your investment is not just in our organization, but in the countless lives we aim to uplift and empower. Please accept my heartfelt thanks for recognizing the true essence of our work, which extends far beyond financial gain. Your belief in our mission to foster equality and justice serves as a guiding light, propelling us forward in our endeavors. Your support provides us with the means to continue advocating for those who have been marginalized and forgotten. In light of your generous support, we pledge to remain transparent, accountable, and focused on our shared goals. Your trust empowers us to dream bigger, to reach further, and to touch the lives of countless individuals who yearn for a better future. On behalf of the entire Humanity’s Reach Initiative, I extend my deepest gratitude to both of you. Your decision to choose purpose over profit has reinvigorated our spirits and solidified our commitment to the cause we hold so dear. We are honored to have you as partners in our journey, and we look forward to forging a future of meaningful impact, together. With immense appreciation and warmest regards, Jolene Leader, Humanity’s Reach Initiative Reading that letter, which was published in the local newspaper, made tears come to my eyes. But beyond that, it was humbling. It was a humbling experience to witness the impact we could have on someone’s life by extending a helping hand. Their gratitude reassured me that we had made the right choice amidst all the chaos. In the days that followed, as news of our collaboration spread, I realized the true power that lay within me. It was not just the power of being the Golden Wolf, but the power to choose, to discern, and to inspire change. I understood that the path I had been thrust upon was not just about protecting nature but also about using my influence to create a more just and compassionate world. The overwhelming offers and temptations had momentarily veered me off course, but with Edrick’s guidance, I found my way back. Together, we rejected the falsehoods and embraced the genuine opportunities. We were determined to remain steadfast in our purpose, never allowing ourselves to be swayed by materialistic desires. With so much change underway, the world really did feel like my oyster. And I was prepared to weather the tides of the ocean as the Golden Wolf, so long as I had my newfound family by my side.
